At only 25 I haven't an inkling of what it must have been like to have been evacuated. There have been times when the TA have set off the air raid alarms and the sound alone has sent shivers deep into my soul. The German machine knocked down Europe as if but a domino set, and it was our little wet Nation that said no. The men who fought the war and the women who played a large part too are owed every gratitude.

Ah Gillian McKeith, I used to watch her programmes religiously years ago, I even bought her book. That was until questions were being asked over how legitimate she actually was. Her methods of checking the tongue and stools to see what you ate and how it affected you resembled Secondary School work. She was also very quick to drop the Dr. title in her advertisements. The equation is simple really; if you eat crap you'll look crap. And as Jamie Oliver says; if you can't pronounce what is on the back of a packet, don't buy it.

This made me smile. It reminds me of any time I've been pretty much anywhere in Europe, especially the Spanish regions and they've got 2 channels dedicated to English viewers. And they specify it too in their illuminated run down of the place in their brochure. Forget the 30 degree heat and beer pool side, Corrie's on! I think the only thing British with BBC America is the BBC bit in the title. Even in Canada when they've showed British shows they've been incredibly old. Yet if there is one thing I prefer watching whilst abroad it is our news. There is more of a realism to it. And as for American/North American radio. If you're hungry don't bother switching on as all they seem to do is advertise fast food joints.

Once upon a time I was going to give up eating meat, not because I feel sorry for the animals as they're raised that way and know no different, plus I need to survive and a diet of broccoli and pills to make up for the red meat you aren't consuming doesn't appeal to me. But it was because every time I took a bite of something I would half-gag. Everything that is except chicken. And I have no idea why. I don't half-gag anymore, but I can't eat meat that is too thick. Anal huh? I live next door to a woman who eats nothing but breadsticks. I think they call them vegans. Poor thing.

It might sound strange, but I like to challenge myself. If I write a paragraph or a small piece I will try (obviously!?) to get all spelling and grammar correct. If I fail then I try again another time. Just to keep on top of things I guess. Although if such programs like Word underline something, I have to double check it because all too often it will tell me that coloUr is spelt wrong...

As the day gets old, the mind evolves even more so, thus creating new ways of expressing yourself. Unless of course you believe that as humans we're devolving. But back on topic. What is the difference between sharing your thoughts this way compared to sharing your thoughts to some guy in a booth at the other end of a grilled window? Sure more people will be aware of said thoughts but I think it is more to do with letting out what you need to say than who sees it. I'm not saying I agree with it (or sitting in a box with a stranger for that matter) but some people find it extraordinarily difficult to get out what they have to say and if this is a means for them to release anger, frustration, regret, without necessarily revealing who they are, then I say why not.
